湖南省中小学教师发展网www.hnteacher.net湖南省中小学教师发展中心前身是湖南省中师函授学校，成立于1981年，1984年更名为湖南省小学教师培训中心，1981年至2002年挂靠于湖南第一师范。2003年3月，经省教育厅同意，省编办批准，成为具有独立法人资格、全额拨款的省教育厅直属正处级事业单位，同年10月，由原湖南省小学教师培训中心更名为湖南省中小学教师继续教育指导中心。2013年12月，更名为湖南省中小学教师发展中心。 中心的主要职责是：负责全省中小学教师资格考试和定期注册的相关工作；负责青年骨干教师、学科带头人、教学名师遴选、推荐、培养的相关工作；负责全省中小学教师继续教育的业务指导工作；积极推进中小学教师继续教育信息化建设工作，牵头建设好湖南省中小学教师教育网络联盟，开展中小学教师非学历远程培训；开展中小学教师专业发展研究；组织开发并指导使用中小学教师教育课程资源；组织培训者培训，指导各级中小学教师培训机构和基地的教育教学工作；承担省教育厅交办的其他工作。 中心内设机构有：办公室、发展研究科、师德师风建设与名师工作科、教师资格管理科、专业发展一科（培训管理科）、专业发展二科（远程培训科）、专业发展三科（示范项目科）、信息资源建设科。

In 1995, SIS moved to its current premises in Aberdeen.
